Top 3 Questions August 17, 2010

Hi Everyone!

Instead of the usual screen shots this week, I wanted to address some of the most common questions we get regarding the review program and assignments in general:

“How long do I have to wait between requesting assignments?”

For EdenFantasys sponsored reviews, you have to wait 30 days between assignments. If you got approved to do a review on 8/17, you’d have to wait until 9/16 (30 days later) to request another assignment. Now, let’s say you did your EdenFantasys sponsored review and want to do another one. You can do a manufacturer sponsored review. These are products that the manufacturer approves Eden to assign for reviews. These are first come, first served reviews with no set limit on frequency. You can only have one out at a time, but once you submit one review you can request another.

“I just got approved on an assignment, but I want to order something too. Can I combine them?”

ABSOLUTELY! Save shipping costs for everyone and combine orders and assignments in the same checkout! How Green of you!

“I just got an assignment in the mail and it is obviously broken. What do I do?”

Contact Gary (gary at edenfantasys.com) and let him know that you got a broken product. You can then choose to either receive a replacement from us (so that you can still write a review) or we can cancel the assignment and you move onto the next product you’d like to review, no harm no foul (the default when there are no replacements available).

“I’ve got a great idea for a tutorial. Who do I tell?”

Send your idea to me (almon at edenfantasys.com) or Gary (gary at edenfantasys.com).

Requesting a Free Assignment July 19, 2010

There are quite a few options, features, programs, and resources to take in when first joining the EF Community. On a daily basis I get questions from the newly Advanced Contributors about free assignments. Sometimes they are under the impression that they have to wait to be assigned toys, other times they are a little confused by the process of requesting their very first assignment, either way today’s tutorial will make this process easy for you all to understand! 🙂

Step 01:

You must be an Advanced Contributor to request a free assignment. If you are not yet an Advanced Contributor, please check out the Mentor Program, or the Review Program Guidelines for instructions on how to become an Advanced Contributor.

Step 02:

Log in to your Contributor account and go to the Product Search.

Step 03:

Once you had found an available toy that you would like to review, simply click on the ‘Request Product for Review’  button for that product. This places the item in your assignment cart.

Step 04:

If you are done looking around and want to submit your review request, you can then click on the link for ‘Submit Request In Assignment Cart’. This will re-direct you to your Assignment Cart.

Step 05:

Here you will see all of the items you have placed in your Assignment Cart. To submit your assignment request for any one of these items, click on the ‘Request Assignment’

Step 06:

Here you can select what type of assignment you are requesting, and also the location of where you will be hosting your review. After selecting assignment type & location, click the ‘Submit’ button.

Step 07:

Now you wait to see if for your assignment request gets approved. It has been successfully submitted to the administrator for approval.

Why Hasn’t My Review Published Yet? July 12, 2010

Filed under: Frequently Asked Questions,Review Program — Gary @ 10:00 AM

Question:  Hi! I submitted a review a few days ago, and I’ve never had to wait this long for a review to go live and publish on EF before. Is there something wrong?

Answer:  Most likely, No.

  • Most of the time when you submit a Not Assigned Review, they will automatically publish. However, there are some items that need to be manually categorized and published.
  • All Assigned Reviews need to be proof-read, edited, categorized, and manually published.
  • Each day, all day long reviews are being submitted. So if you have recently submitted a review, and it has still not published, then it is most likely just waiting its turn in a long line of other reviews waiting to be published.
  • If there is a problem, we will contact you about the review.
  • If it has been over 3 weeks since your review was submitted, you have not received any emails regarding your review, & your review has still not published been published, then you should email us at partners@edenfantasys.com
